‘Conflict’ street mural by PichiAvo

#CitiesofHope has taken over social media, and rightly so, in just nine days, nine captivating murals have sprung up across Manchester’s Northern Quarter, bringing  grey walls to life with colour and magnetising images that draw the attention of passersby.

Not just of aesthetic value, these artworks raise awareness for important issues that demand social action. Each mural has a different focus, aligned to a social justice organisation: war children; sustainability; the environment;  homelessness;  gay rights; immigration; integration and supporting refugees; existentialism; disability and conflict – which resonates with the social action work of Guns to Goods.

You can find Pichiavo’s work on Port Street facing Great Ancoats Street.
